Trilogy / The Key..

•Rather than a tool for concealment, a symbol of opening to the otherworld

Key has always been associated w female deities before&after [Inanna/Ištar, Pandora]

As the concepts of heaven/hell developed

earth gained importance

Descending underground=Initiation

Key represents the power to fight monsters (hell/beasts)=trials+obstacles faced on the other side

The dangerous passage through Mother Earth’s intestines=Burial=Passing through the woman’s/Mother Earth’s body=Being devoured=Returning to 1self=Rebirth

(Finding the path inside the goddess’ womb)

•Destruction/creation~>The feminine force

Leap occurs=>key transforms into knowledge&widsom=key to the journey beyond

(The dead know all hidden knowledge)

Today The Key=A feminine image=That which contains everything=Everything born from it returns to it=Everything in the universe=Matriarchy

There is a psychic attraction between the self&the unconscious

Depression etc~>If consciousness&the self are weak, we may return to our initial unconscious state

(self tries to push us into the unconscious)

Moments when we are unconscious (traumatic) create a tendency to return to the archetypal moment

As the creative feminine archetype, the mother is always at the forefront-there is always a gravitational pull
