• Ancak o kör gözüm parmağına durumu dışında; kişinin kendi iç sesini dinlemesi, kendi yolunu bulması, farklılıklarını kabullenmesi ve nice erken dönem öğrenildiğinde bireyleşmeye, sağlıklı yetişkinler olmamıza aslında vesile olacak şeyi keyifli bir müzikal eşliğinde izlemekten hoşlanırım diyorsanız kesinlikle bir şans vermelisiniz derim.

Meraklısına:

•Filmde 1000’den fazla kostüm hazırlandı. Glinda’nın 25, Elphaba’nın 24 kostümü var

— her biri için birden fazla versiyon üretildi.

•Glinda’nın meşhur pembe balon elbisesi, 137 parçadan oluşuyor ve 225 saat süren elle boncuk işçiliği içeriyor.

•Elphaba rolündeki Cynthia Erivo’nun yeşil makyajı için özel bir “Cynthia Green” tonu geliştirildi. Her gün 2–4 saat süren bir makyaj süreci vardı.

•Nessarose’un ayakkabıları herkesin bildiği gibi kırmızı değil, gümüş — bu, orijinal L. Frank Baum ve Gregory Maguire kitaplarına sadık kalındığını gösteriyor.

Wicked..

• As someone who has always been fascinated by the figure of the witch — and watched this way too late — I thoroughly enjoyed it.
• Apparently, Part 2 is coming in November. The trailer is already out.
• It’s filled with incredible symbolism.
• One of those recent Disney productions that subtly teaches lessons about existence without being overt — and it does that really well.
• It was a joy to recall the many @kentkabilesi workshops, especially the ones themed around the poppy flower, and to analyze the story through the lens of what I’ve learned from them.
• But, just like in other recent Disney films, they seem to force representation from every walk of life — and I personally felt they overdid the wheelchair scene. That part felt a bit forced and disrupted the flow.
• That one “in-your-face” moment aside, though — if you enjoy stories where people find their inner voice, accept their uniqueness, follow their own path, and if you appreciate the kind of messages that, when learned early in life, can guide us toward healthy individuation — then watching it wrapped in a magical musical journey will be your thing.
• Definitely worth a watch.

• Over 1000 costumes were made for the film. Glinda has 25, Elphaba has 24 — each with multiple versions.

• Glinda’s iconic pink bubble dress was crafted from 137 individual pieces and took 225 hours of hand-beading to complete.

• A custom makeup shade called “Cynthia Green” was developed specifically for Cynthia Erivo’s role as Elphaba. Her makeup routine took 2–4 hours daily.

• Nessarose’s shoes aren’t red as many believe — they’re silver, in a nod to the original books by L. Frank Baum and Gregory Maguire.
